We are seeking a professional like you to join our team! As IT/Digital Solutions Specialist you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining site IT Systems while leading/supporting digitalization initiatives and systems.
The IT/Digital Solutions Specialist is an important part of digitizing and automating business processes by identifying and implementing solutions that can significantly improve employee experiences.
In addition, you will be collaborating with stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, IT counterparts, and vendors in identifying gaps and translating current state challenges into future state solutions and detailing corresponding specifications and requirements.
As an IT/Digital Solutions Specialist, you create chemistry by Supporting IT and digital systems users at the site by applying your technical knowledge of IT services.
Managing local IT projects at the site and providing localization support to global projects and milestones.
Applying and adapting global IT policies and procedures to the local level.
Recognizing and addressing user needs in alignment with the global IT function and teams; identifying opportunities at the local level to improve business value using Information Technology.
Mitigating and resolving localized issues and escalating critical incidents to regional managers or vendors as needed.
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing databases to support site operations Developing new applications and reporting tools for mobile devices (such as tablets) that are tailored to the site's needs but can be shared and adapted to other plants Researching and presenting the latest digital trends with recommendations on how to incorporate them into site solutions, as well as best practices for digital engagement and perform competitive analysis to identify gaps.
Designing solutions considering feasibility, BASF IS architecture and policies, and cost-efficiency.
Your formula for success Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Management, Information Systems, Engineering or related field OR equivalent work experience.

years of relevant Information Technology experience Experience to support IT devices (e.
g.
, Laptops, Printers, mobile devices), manage licenses, manage IT assets and services, and manage IT Requirements (experience with Cisco highly desirable) Familiarity with developing business processes and IT solutions from conceptualization to implementation.
Working knowledge of SAP business software applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications and development platforms, including Access and Power BI.
Strong hands-on technical skills in software development process and/or programming design and systems management (C+
and JavaScript are highly desirable).
